Klimat Works brings together our sustainability expertise in a single, integrated approach for the UK market. We embed circularity, resilience and climate-positive design into every project, helping to create spaces that promote health, inclusion and long-term value, while respecting planetary boundaries. At White Arkitekter, we have approached architecture, design and urban planning from a sustainability perspective since our founding in 1951. Today, with a presence in Sweden, the UK, Germany and Canada, we help clients deliver climate-conscious, resilient and sustainable projects for current and future generations.

Klimat Works in Action

Klimat Works isn’t just a framework – it’s how our people make sustainable, resilient design happen. Meet four of our experts and hear how their skills shape spaces that are healthier, climate-positive and future-proof. Each story highlights the tangible value of collaboration and cross-disciplinary thinking.

The Experts Who Make Klimat Works

Where Engineering Meets Environmental Vision

Architect, MEP engineer and sustainability specialist Christian Dimbleby brings over twenty years’ experience supporting architecture-led sustainability strategies across complex projects. His expertise spans bio-based construction, Passivhaus and regenerative design, helping teams and clients deliver low-impact, high-performance buildings. Christian is also an active contributor to industry standards and knowledge-sharing, strengthening sustainable design practice across the industry.

Advancing Net-Zero and Circular Design

Shreya is an environmental designer specialising in building physics, circular design, net zero pathways and whole life carbon. She works across the full project lifecycle – from early stage sustainability strategy through to delivery – translating climate ambitions into practical design decisions. Her systems-based approach integrates environmental analysis, certification frameworks, and long-term performance thinking into project decision-making. Beyond practice, she contributes as a thought leader to the wider industry as a researcher, speaker, and co-author of sector frameworks.

Shaping Inclusive and Resilient Communities

Viktoria Walldin is a social anthropologist and social sustainability expert specialising in stakeholder analysis, participatory design and strategic communication. With over two decades of experience, she develops people-centred strategies that foster inclusive, resilient and community-connected cities.

Connecting Ecology and Community

As a landscape architect specialising in regenerative and climate-responsive design, Louise Didriksson’s expertise lies across architecture, landscape and infrastructure. She focuses on integrating ecological systems and nature-based solutions into the built environment while enhancing the social, cultural and spatial qualities of public space, combining creative exploration with climate-responsive design to deliver resilient, inclusive environments.

How Klimat Works

Sustainability is central to every project. Environmental, social and economic factors are considered together to deliver holistic solutions. Klimat Works integrates health, climate impact and resilience into the design, supported by analysis and verification at every stage.

Healthy, resilient spaces

We create environments where people thrive. Natural light, thermal and acoustic comfort, and good air quality are combined with climate-conscious design. Buildings and public spaces are optimised to reduce energy use, carbon emissions and resource consumption, while protecting biodiversity and ecosystems. Our designs are future-proofed to withstand extreme weather and changing climates.

Analysis and verification

Our services ensure sustainability is embedded from concept to completion. Early-stage analysis identifies performance risks before design decisions are locked in. BIM-integrated evaluation allows real-time optimisation and early detection of issues. Compliance and certification support ensure projects meet local and international standards.

Value for your project

Klimat Works helps reduce operational costs, strengthen resilience, and deliver social, environmental and economic value. By integrating sustainability from the start, projects are healthier, more climate-positive, and ready for the future – creating long-term benefits for users, investors and communities alike.

White Arkitekter's Sustainability Vision

The Klimat Works framework brings together seven interconnected focus areas – Health & Wellbeing, Materials & Circularity, Equality & Social Value, Long Term Economy, Land Use & Water, Ecosystem & Biodiversity, Climate Adaptation, and Climate Change & Energy – organised across three dimensions: environmental, social and economic. Together, they form an integrated approach to sustainable design that addresses the full spectrum of impact, from planetary boundaries to the spaces where people live and work.
