Our CEO on 2025: Taking important steps toward a sustainable future

As we sum up 2025, we can proudly conclude that it has been a year filled with innovative architecture and important steps toward a more sustainable future.

We have experienced a year with many competition wins, and several of the projects we have worked on have been awarded prestigious awards – this is proof that quality and sustainability are crucial to strengthen the competitiveness of our cities and improving people’s quality of life.

Among this year’s highlights is Feskekôrka in Gothenburg, which won the Dezeen Awards but also demonstrates how cultural heritage can meet the needs of the future. We are now starting work following our competition win in the Arena Quarter in Gothenburg – a project that will not only become a new arena but also a neighborhood that combines architecture, culture, and sustainability to strengthen the city’s identity. We have also had the privilege of working on Sweden’s first hospital building constructed in wood, a project that sets a new standard for sustainable healthcare environments.

The unique and challenging restoration of Gothenburg’s fish and seafood market, Feskekôrka, has been named the winner of the prestigious Dezeen Awards 2025 in the Heritage Project category.

In Wales, work continues with the Velindre Cancer Centre, another healthcare project that inspires in many ways. We have won the commission to create a new timber-based neighborhood in the Netherlands. We are very proud to have inaugurated Haus Hynsperg in Liederbach. Our involvement in the Nadija Children’s Hospital project is yet another example of how architecture can make a difference where it is needed most. The examples you can read about below are just a few of the many projects we have had the privilege to contribute to during the year.

We are proud to be part of the winning team behind The Erven, a new sustainable timber neighbourhood in Hoofddorp, just outside Amsterdam.

As we now look ahead to 2026, we do so with confidence and optimism. Our ambition remains to create architecture that makes a difference – for people, for cities, and for the planet.

We know that attractive and sustainable architecture where people thrive also contribute to good business and long-term property values. Our work to develop sustainable solutions and innovative architecture is important. During the year, we have experienced an increase in order intake, indicating a cautious recovery in the market, this contributes to a positive outlook for the coming year.

Sweden’s first hospital building constructed in timber is now taking shape at the Central Hospital in Karlstad (CSK).

As we now look ahead to 2026, we do so with confidence and optimism. Our ambition remains to create architecture that makes a difference – for people, for cities, and for the planet. We want to thank all our clients and partners for the great collaborations during 2025, and we look forward to creating new projects together in the coming year.

We wish all of you Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
