Commissioned by the Cronstetten and Hynsperg Evangelical Foundation, we’ve designed the modern residential timber building in Liederbach on the outskirts of Frankfurt. Haus Hynsperg reconnects the village with Oberliederbacher Park and consists of two separate 5-storey volumes that are connected by a common entrance pavilion where the residents can meet and have spaces for shared activities. The four upper floors hold serviced flats for both the elderly, but also younger people, especially with acquired physical disabilities, as well as single parents with children.
Haus Hynsperg inaugurated – our first completed building in Germany
We’re delighted to celebrate the inauguration of Haus Hynsperg. The opening marks an important milestone for the project – and for our German studio, as Haus Hynsperg is our first fully delivered building in Germany.
Thanks to our close collaboration with the Cronstetten and Hynsperg Evangelical Foundation and our collaboration partners, we’ve created a modern timber residential building where health-promoting architecture plays a central role. We now look forward to seeing the building come to life as the first residents move in.

Inauguration Haus Hynsperg.
Haus Hynsperg is designed to encourage an active and social lifestyle. Its proximity to the park, the light-filled apartments and the extensive use of timber as a building material offer residents a setting that supports wellbeing and a close connection to nature. A series of shared spaces – including a communal kitchen, coworking areas and rooms for music performances and yoga encourages togetherness, providing generous opportunities for daily encounters and community life.
The inauguration is a major milestone for the project, but also for our Stuttgart studio, as we have been working on it since we opened the studio in 2021 – and because it is our first completed building in Germany.

While the building’s load bearing structure is a timber concrete hybrid system with loadbearing massive timber walls and prefabricated timber façade elements, wooden surfaces characterizes both the inner surfaces as well as the façade which is cladded in rough-sawn spruce from local forests.
The first residents are expected to move in at the beginning of 2026.
