White Arkitekter nominated for the Swedish Enterprise Award in Germany

In 2021, we entered Germany and opened our studio in Stuttgart. Two and a half years later, the studio consists of 13 employees. We are now pleased to announce that we have been nominated for the Swedish Enterprise Award in Germany.

The Swedish Enterprise Award in Germany has been awarded jointly by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce, Business Sweden and the Swedish Embassy since 2003, and this year the award is being presented for the 20th time. The award recognises Swedish companies that have successfully established themselves in the German market and exemplary investments by German companies in Sweden. We are nominated in the Newcomer category.

We are very happy and proud of our nomination for the Swedish Enterprise Award in Germany. It is a great recognition of our establishment which aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience between our Scandinavian business and Germany.
Fredrik Larsson, Director, White Arkitekter Stuttgart

After five years of business development, we opened our studio in Stuttgart in 2021. Today, the studio has four projects underway and with a great interest in Scandinavian architecture as well as several large White projects such as Sara Cultural Centre and New Karolinska Solna Hospital, our studio has grown from two to 13 employees in two and a half years.

We are a newcomer in Germany, but as a company we have a long history with a lot of accumulated experience and expertise, not least in sustainability, transformation and wooden architecture both in Sweden and internationally. This, combined with our German network and our cultural knowledge, has contributed to our successful establishment and growth in the German market.

Strong focus on sustainability

Since its opening, the studio has had a clear focus on sustainability. Based on our vision that all our architecture should be strong and climate-positive by 2030, all projects are characterised by a strong sustainability perspective. For example, the transformation of the old factory and industrial area Heinzelmann in Reutlingen and the housing project Haus Hynsperg in Liederbach, which is built in wood.

The Swedish Enterprise Award in Germany will be presented as part of the Swedish-German Business Day on 17 November in the historic Kurhaus Wiesbaden. HRH Crown Princess Victoria, patroness of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Germany, will attend.
