In collaboration with Swedavia, we designed Verandan – an important part of the new marketplace at the heart of Terminal 5 at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The project includes a 3,500-square-metre glulam extension and a 1,500-square-metre renovation, together creating a new café and restaurant area that gives the airport a spectacular new living room. With its bright, open architecture and strong sustainability profile, the project has become a symbol of Arlanda’s ongoing transformation – now recognised with the NCSC Nordic Award 2025 in the category Commercial Space of the Year < 25,000 m².
Verandan at Arlanda wins NCSC Nordic Award 2025
We’re proud to share that Verandan at Arlanda has been awarded the NCSC Nordic Award 2025 – recognising innovative architecture and sustainable design in an airport environment. The award highlights how thoughtful architecture and close collaboration can contribute to renewing and refining public environments.

Verandan is an important part of Arlanda’s largest commercial investment to date, distinguished by its visible glulam structure, reuse of materials and design solutions that reduce the project’s environmental impact – an architecture that unites aesthetics, functionality and sustainability.
