Oskar Norelius appointed new office director at White Arkitekter’s Stockholm office

On 1 April 2025, Oskar Norelius will assume the role of office director for White Arkitekter in Stockholm. The current office director, Martin Ehn Hillberg, will transition into a new role within the company as senior business developer for urban development, focusing on climate adaptation, biodiversity, and nature-based solutions.

Oskar Norelius is a qualified architect, partner, and a member of the office management team. He has been with White since 2007, playing a key role in the firm’s internationalisation and business development. He has also served as lead architect on several internationally acclaimed and award-winning projects, most notably Sara Kulturhus.

I look forward to continuing the development of the Stockholm office together with all our talented and dedicated colleagues. We have many exciting projects currently on the drawing board, both in Sweden and internationally, which combine high design quality with ambitious sustainability goals. Together with our clients and partners, we will continue to create innovative and sustainable architecture.

Martin Ehn Hillberg has been office director at White in Stockholm since 2021, having previously served as office director at White in Uppsala for 10 years. He is a partner, a qualified landscape architect, and has led several notable projects, including Hamra National Park, which was awarded the prestigious Siena Prize in 2012.

He now steps into a new role as White Arkitekter ramps up its focus on climate adaptation and nature-based solutions within urban development and landscape architecture. This area of expertise and business development is critical for ensuring a sustainable transition for both new and existing communities. The goal is to better support clients in their transformation efforts.

I am excited to step into this new role and contribute to the company’s development in this area, which is close to my heart as a landscape architect. I look forward to finding new collaborations with our clients to advance the transition towards a sustainable society. There are significant opportunities to discover new ways of creating attractive living environments that also support functional ecosystems and greater resilience to climate change.
